About The Graham Star

 

The Graham Star has been Graham County’s local news source for more than 50 years. With a circulation topping 3,500, The Star, a weekly newspaper that is delivered to homes in the mail every Thursday, keeps Graham Countians informed on happenings within the county. Individuals are welcome to stop by our offices at 774 Tallulah Road with news, or just to let us get to know you. The deadline for submitting news or buying a classified for this week’s paper is Monday at 5 p.m. Classified ads are $3.50 for the first 10 words and 20¢ for each additional word. Ads must be prepaid. We gladly accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express.
Community news, birthdays and club news is due by the previous Friday at 5 p.m. Birthday announcements for children up to 12 years of age are published free of charge.
The deadline for display ads is noon on Tuesday. The Star offers competitive rates for display ads, discounts for non-profit organizations and discounts for individuals who wish their ad to also go into The Cherokee Scout, The Andrews Journal, The Smoky Mountain Times (Bryson City), The Clay County Progress, or any other CNI newspaper.
The Star is an affiliate of Community Newspapers Inc., headquartered in Athens, Ga. Copies are 50¢ each and a yearly subscription if $16.00 inside the county and $25 out of the county.
