A native of Graham County, he was the son of the late Carol and Dona Collins Williams.
Leonard was a 32nd Degree Mason and had been a member of Robbinsville Masonic Lodge for many years. He was also a member of Yellow Creek Baptist Church.
He is survived by his loving wife of more than 55 years, Dorothy Farley Williams; his son and daughter in law, Ronnie and Tammy Williams of Robbinsville; his grandson, Landon Williams and his fiance, Danielle, of Waynesville; and his granddaughter and her husband, Kaley and Daniel Coker of Asheville.
Funeral services were held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at the Townson-Smith Chapel. The Reverends Daniel Stewart and Onley Williams officiated. The family received friends from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Chapel, prior to the service. Committal services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, August 7, 2014 at Lower Yellow Creek Cemetery.
