Oliver Bruce Lovin, Jr., 71, of Robbinsville, passed away early Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at Graham Healthcare and Rehab.

A native of Graham County, he was the son of Ruby Hyde Lovin of Robbinsville, and the late O.B. Lovin, Sr. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his wife, Roma Gail Lovin in 1986. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force, having served his country proudly during the Vietnam War. He is survived by his daughter and son in law, Sandi and Darrin Lail of Robbinsville; his granddaughter, Macy Lail; his companion, Kathleen Williams of Robbinsville; and his brothers, Dwight Lovin, Lyonel Lovin, and Jerry Lovin, all of Robbinsville.

Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. Thursday, August 14, 2014 at the Townson-Smith Chapel. The Reverends Larry Grindstaff and Wayne McGuire will officiate. Burial will follow at Guge Cemetery where Military Rites will be conducted by Carringer Webster VFW Post 8635 and Eller Rogers American Legion Post 192. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. till 12 p.m. Thursday at the Chapel, prior to the service.
