Durham – Behind the strength of five Rylee Anderson touchdowns, a Cody Cline field goal and a rushing score from Lex Hooper, Robbinsville is back atop the 1A state mountaintop.

The Black Knights (15-0) picked apart the Northampton County Jaguars (11-4) almost at-will in Saturday's championship game, claiming the program's 14th state crown in convincing fashion, 45-14.

"We feel fortunate and very proud that we finished what we started," said Robbinsville head coach Dee Walsh. "We want to thank our community and our fans for everything they do for our program, to make us be where we are.

"I especially want to congratulate our kids. What an awesome job our lineman do up front. What they do allows Rylee, Lex, Nathan (Collins), Clayson (Lane), Seth (Lawson) and Kamron (McGuire) to do what they can. We're just tickled to death. We went at it as a team and we finished as a team.

Anderson finished the game with 176 yards on 34 carries. He was named the MVP of the event for his efforts.

Full coverage from tonight's game will appear in the Dec. 19 edition of The Graham Star.
