Another call for director
The Graham County Travel & Tourism Board is again inviting tourism director applications after its preferred candidate declined a job offer.
“We interviewed two candidates, selected one and offered him the position. He declined due to family conflicts,” board member Revonda Williams remarked. “We are interviewing another person tomorrow but we are also re-running the ad for one week just to make sure some local talent hasn’t had second thoughts.”
Twenty-five people applied for the job, but only a handful were deemed sufficiently qualified to be interviewed.
Compensation will be $30,000 to $50,000 annually depending on experience.
The board will accept letters of interest and resumes through Oct. 10.
