Trump tweet was neat

"It was awesome that our president took the time to tell kids from such a small town to follow their dreams," Campbell said.

The leader of the free world took a break from staring down Kim Jon-un, discussing health care subsidies, and considering tax breaks to send an encouraging message from Washington, DC to Robbinsville High School last Wednesday.
“Hello @RepMarkMeadows and all the students at Robbinsville HS! Pursue your dreams and NEVER give up! #USA,” President Donald Trump tweeted during a visit to Robbinsville High School by Dist. 11 Congressman Mark Meadows.
RHS Senior Josie Campbell was thrilled that the president responded about an hour after Meadows tweeted, “The students from Robbinsville HS wanted to say hello!” to President Trump.
“It was awesome that our president took the time to tell kids from such a small town to follow their dreams,” Campbell said.
Meadows visited with students and faculty and participated in classroom discussions about issues occurring in Washington, D.C.
The tweet from President Trump came while Meadows was visiting Katrina Nelms’ Peer Helpers class.
“They mentor freshmen, do community service such as Manna Food Bank, Pete the Cat shows at the preschools that teach positive thinking and good character, and they sing at the nursing home,” Nelms explained. “Right now they are doing bullying education for all high school students.”
Speaking of education, students received a glimpse of the dark side of politics as strangers made negative tweets about Meadows’ visit and Trump’s tweet to RHS.
“I hated to see so much negativity come from the tweet, but it helps our students see how bad the world is outside of Robbinsville,” Nelms said. “They handled themselves well.”
Meadows certainly seemed impressed. “The faculty and students of Robbinsville are first class and represent the some of the best that Western North Carolina education has to offer – the students were very engaging, gave tremendous insight, and asked thoughtful questions,” he said.
