Harvey Carver, 70, of the Ground Squirrel Community in Robbinsville, NC, went home to be with the Lord, on Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2017 at Harris Regional Hospital in Sylva, NC.
He was a native of Graham County and the son of the late Grady and Flonnie Collins Carver. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Crystal Carver Dale; his sisters, Shirley Anderson, Elba Anderson, and Doris Carver; and his brothers, Mack, Edgar, Junior, and Lawrence Carver.
Harvey is survived by his loving wife of almost 48 years, Lorna Icenhower Carver; his daughter and son in law, Donna and Tony Crisp of Robbinsville; his sisters, Lavada Millsaps, Audrey Polston, and Avis Pressley, all of Robbinsville; his grandchildren, Jason, Josh, and Joel Crisp, all of Robbinsville; and his great grandchildren, Blake Powers, Jayce Shuler, Jazmin Crisp, and Jaydin Crisp, all of Robbinsville.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 11 at Townson-Smith Chapel. The Reverend J.B. Smith officiated. Burial followed at Lone Oak Baptist Church Cemetery. The family received friends from 12 until 2 p.m. Saturday at the Chapel, prior to the service.
