James Huel Farley
James Huel Farley, 79, formerly of Robbinsville, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, Sept. 11, 2016 at Carolinas Healthcare in Shelby.
A native of Graham County, he was the son of the late Wilce and Dora Williams Farley.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Ollie Lynn, Elwanda Manning, Allene Davis, and Evelyn Jane Farley, and his brothers, Arthur Farley and Billy Farley.
James was a Veteran, having served his country proudly in the U.S. Army.
He is survived by his daughters and sons in law, Christa and Jack Lollis of Waterloo, SC, and Shawna and Jamey Hughes of Waxhaw, NC; his brothers, Oliver Farley, Wendell Farley, and Michael Farley, all of Robbinsville; his sisters, Margaret Moquin of Hoffman, and June Jenkins and Lela Norton, both of Robbinsville. He has two grandsons, Damian and Casey.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 14, at the Townson-Smith Chapel. The Reverend Richard Davis officiated. Burial followed at New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery. The family received friends from 1until 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Chapel, prior to the service.
Townson-Smith Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
