Versa Hall Adams
Versa Hall Adams, 96, of the Long Creek Community in Robbinsville, NC, went home to be with the Lord early Saturday, Nov. 4, 2017 at Graham Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Robbinsville.
She was born in Clay County and was the daughter of the late Hershel and Evie Ledford Hall. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Floyd Adams, her son, Eugene Adams, and her son-in-law, Darrell Lail, and all of her brothers and sisters.
Versa was the epitome of what a Christian should be. Her life revolved around her love of the Lord and she was never at a loss for words to describe the graciousness of her Heavenly Father. You could also never find her that she didn’t speak proudly of her children and grandchildren and all of their accomplishments.
Although she never worked outside the home, she made a lifetime career of cooking, cleaning, and caring for her family; those were the things she loved doing most.
She is survived by
her daughter, Janice Lail, and her sons and daughters-in-law, Nolan and Diane Adams, and Randall and Carol Adams, all of Robbinsville; her daughter-in-law, Lona Rae Adams Kell, of Robbinsville; her grandchildren, Lisa Williams, Lora Hendricks, Lana Trull, Darren Lail, Kip Adams, Kim McDaniel, and Jeremy Adams. She has seven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 6, at Lone Oak Baptist Church, of which she was a member. The Reverends Scott Roper, Kevin Brooks, and Daniel Stewart officiated.
The family received friends from 5 until 7 p.m. Monday at the Church, prior to the service.
Committal services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 7, at Lone Oak Baptist Church Cemetery.
