Betty Jean “Jody” Carver, 74 of Robbinsville, N.C., passed away Thursday, Oct. 21, 2021, at Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga, Tenn.

She was a native of Graham County and the daughter of Elma Adams Stratton and the late Hoover Williams. 

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Carver in October of 2013; her son, Joe Pat Carver in May of 2017; and her brother, Charles Williams in July of 2019.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her children, Michelle Carver and Adam Carver, both of Robbinsville, N.C.; brother Kenneth Williams of Belgreen, Ala.; sisters, Lisa Williams of Muscle Shoals, Ala. and Renda Pendegraph of Red Bay, Ala.; grandchildren, Skylar Daniels, Alec Carver and Jordan Carver; great-grandchildren, Aela Walters, Alexandria Smith and Gracelyn Smith who is due in November of this year. 

She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. 

Visitation was held Monday, Oct. 25 from 5-7 p.m., with the funeral service immediately following at the Townson-Smith Funeral Home Chapel. 

The Revs. Scott Roper and Eddie Hollifield officiated. 

Committal services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2021 at the Lower Yellow Creek Cemetery.  The Rev. Daniel Stewart officiated.
