Edna Hooper Moody, 88 of Robbinsville, N.C., went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, Nov. 13, 2021, at Maggie Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Maggie Valley, N.C.
Edna was a native of Graham County and the daughter of the late Milburn and Emma Hyde Hooper.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Wade Moody; brother Vincent Hooper; sisters Lillian Sharpe, Ethel Smith, Ola Pressley and Ruth Smith.
She is survived by her daughters, Wanda Collins and husband Tommy of Robbinsville, N.C., and Jan Stewart and husband Steve of Robbinsville, N.C.; grandchildren, Randy Collins and wife Analisa of Robbinsville, N.C., and Emmy Stewart Messer and husband Jerry of Waynesville, N.C.; great-grandchildren, Carden Collins Millsaps and husband Ethan of Hiddenite, N.C., and Boone Messer and Mia Messer, both of Waynesville, N.C.; and a sister, Allene Montgomery of Robbinsville, N.C.
Graveside services were held at 1 p.m Tuesday, Nov. 16, 2021 in the Old Mother Cemetery. Her grandson, the Rev. Randy Collins, officiated.
