Iva Rowena Rattler, 91 of Robbinsville, N.C., passed away Sunday, Jan. 2, 2022, at Graham Health Care and Rehabilitation in Robbinsville, N.C.
She was a native of Graham County and the daughter of the late George and Hattie Smoker Rattler.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Rattler; sons, John Rattler and Richard Rattler; and sisters, Dinah Gloyne and Lois Calonehuskie.
She is survived by her sons and their wives, Donald and Diane Rattler of Robbinsville, N.C., and Allen and Amanda Rattler of Peachtree, N.C.; brother, Dan Rattler of Robbinsville, N.C.; and sister, Helen Jackson of Robbinsville, N.C.
She is also survived by six grandchildren: Jackie Rattler, Michael Rattler, Alaina Haney, Josh Rattler, Kamryn Rattler, Harmoney Rattler; 18 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 6, 2022, at the Hattie Cornsilk Cemetery. The Rev. Noah Crowe will officiate. The family will receive friends from noon – 1 p.m. at the Townson-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, prior to the graveside service.
