Muriel Martin Adams Rose, 89 of the West Buffalo community of Robbinsville, N.C., went home to be with the Lord on Friday, Dec. 31, 2021, at Mission Hospital in Asheville, N.C.

She was a native of Graham County and the daughter of the late Oliver and Vesta Hamilton Martin. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by the father of her children, Ralph Adams; sons, Michael Adams, Danny Adams and Paul Adams; and sisters, Cordie Trull, Jean Hyde and Bernice Autrey.

Muriel was a member of Cedar Cliff Baptist Church for 77 years; her faith and her family were her most valued possessions. She was a prayer warrior; her ability to call out to Christ in prayer sustained her through many difficult times in her life.

She was a lady of great faith and was devoted to her church, her friends, and her family.

Muriel was also a wonderful loving mother, grandmother and steadfast friend. She was a master gardener, seamstress, songwriter and logger.

She was also a caring, loving, funny and honest person who touched the hearts of many. Muriel created a heritage and legacy that will live on in her family for generations to come.

She is survived by her daughters and their husbands, Brenda Stewart (Lonnie), and Barbie Adams (Joe), all of Robbinsville, N.C., Lois Anderson of Maryville, Tenn., and Kim Waldroup (Kevin) of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2022, at Cedar Cliff Baptist Church. The Revs. Daniel Stewart, Mickey Stewart and Wayne McGuire officiated.

The family received friends from noon – 2 p.m. Wednesday at the church, prior to the service.

Burial followed the service at Carver Cemetery.
