Robert “Jeff” Jeffrey Hyde, 61 of Salem, S.C. passed away Saturday, Dec. 25, 2021 at his home.
A native of Graham County, he was the son of Camilla Lee Sutherland of Robbinsville, N.C. and the late Robert Hyde of Cherokee, N.C.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Patricia “Patty” Hyde of the home; sons, David Nabors and Phillip Nabors, both of South Carolina; brother, Clint Hyde of Cherokee, N.C.; sister, Tina Hyde of Robbinsville, N.C.; special cousin who was like a sister, Zelerie Rogers of Fontana Dam, N.C.; aunts, Nancy Lee Faul of Robbinsville, N.C. and Karen “Kay” Patterson (Larry) of Georgia; uncle, Gary Lee (Beverly) of Michigan; and many special cousins, family and friends from Graham County, Georgia and South Carolina, who loved him dearly.
Jeff was a truck driver and a member of Salem Fire and Rescue Squad since 2008. He enjoyed fishing and was of the Baptist faith.
A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 30, 2021 at Davenport Funeral home in West Union, S.C.
The family will receive friends from 3-4 p.m. prior to the service.
