Samuel Shope, Jr., age 55 of Robbinsville, N.C. passed away, Thursday, Sept. 30, 2021, at Harris Regional Hospital in Sylva, N.C.
He was a native of Graham County and the son of the late Samuel and Willa Bell Moore Shope. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Sidney Joe Polston; and his half-brothers, David Shope, Tim Shope and Kenneth Shope.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda Crisp Shope; son, Brian Crisp of Robbinsville, N.C., sister, Libby Sellers of Robbinsville, N.C.; brothers and sisters-in-law, Paul and Linda Shope of Robbinsville, N.C., and Daniel and Amy Byrd Shope of Bessemer City, N.C.; and two grandchildren, Austin, and Daxton Crisp.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 3, 2021, at the Townson-Smith Chapel. The Revs. Teddy Silvers and Rex Allen Sellers officiated. Burial followed the Service at Santeetlah Cemetery.
The family received friends from noon – 1 p.m. at the chapel prior to the service.
