Sherryl Denise Cable of Tuskeegee, N.C. went home peacefully on Saturday, Oct. 2, 2021.

She was preceded to her eternal home by her father, Ben F. Crisp, also of Tuskeegee. She is survived by her mother, Barbara Crisp, of Tuskeegee; husband of 46 years, Lonnie Cable; two children, Lance Cable and wife Janna Cable of Statesville, N.C., and Aundrea Cable of Tuskeegee; four grandchildren, Braxton Corbin, Paisley Corbin Odom and Taylor Odom, and Danner Allen and Mallory Allen; as well as one great-grandson, Owen Corbin.

A lifelong residence of Tuskeegee, Sherry could always be found at the Tuskeegee Motel, Restaurant and Convenience Store where she worked with her family for years. Never knowing a stranger, she always enjoyed working and chatting with people and had many life-long friends. Always known as a loving wife and mother, devoted daughter, and loyal friend she will be missed by many.

Though our hearts are heavy with grief from this loss, we take great comfort in knowing she is at peace and well in her eternal home.

Funeral services were held at 7 p.m. Wednesday Oct. 6, 2021, at the Townson-Smith Chapel. The Revs. Larry Grindstaff and Coy Adams officiated.

The family received friends from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at the chapel, prior to the service.
