William Anthony Ditmore, Sr., 78 of Robbinsville, N.C., passed away, Saturday, July 2, 2022, at Graham Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.

He was a native of Graham County, and the son of the late Mack and Lena Orr Ditmore. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Aldridge Ditmore in June of 2021; sisters, Dianne Cody and Hazel Miller; and infant brother, James Ditmore.

He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army.

Anthony loved serving his community and did so through his work as a pharmacist for many years.  He and Linda owned the local pharmacy Ditmore Drugs, where they both made lasting relationships with the employees and citizens of Graham County. Anthony loved working as a pharmacist and loved helping others.

He is survived by his sons, Billy Ditmore (Alaina) and Bobby Ditmore (Kaye), both of Robbinsville, N.C.; sisters, Portia Graham of Washington, D.C. and Marie Lovin of Gastonia, N.C.; and grandchildren, Reagan, Houston, Bronxon, Ethre, Electa and Lochlainn.

The family received friends from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 6, 2022, at the Townson-Smith Funeral Home Chapel. A private graveside service was held following the visitation at the Upper Yellow Creek Cemetery. The Rev. Daniel Stewart officiated.
