Wilma Royal, 83 of Robbinsville, N.C., passed away Sunday, Nov. 20, 2022, in Whiteville, N.C.
She was a native of Graham County, and the daughter of the late Nathan and Ada Cable Garland. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Russell Nathan Royal; infant brother, Keith Owen Garland; and sisters, Axie Eury and Penny Phillips.
She is survived by her son, P.D. Royal of Robbinsville, N.C.; daughters, Jerri Romans (Chris) of Whiteville, N.C., and Terrie Cartrette (Michael) of Chadbourn, N.C.; brothers, Junior Garland of Dallas, N.C., and Darrell Garland and Gerald Garland, both of Robbinsville, N.C.; sisters, Kathy Harrison of Dalton, Ga., Sue Maiers of Dallas, N.C., and Carol Cable of Iron Station, N.C.; 13 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 25, 2022, at Cedar Cliff Baptist Church in Robbinsville, N.C.
The Rev. Daniel Stewart officiated.
Burial followed the service at Carver Cemetery.
The family received friends from noon – 2 p.m. Friday at the church, prior to the service.
