Anna Mae Anderson Hall, 87 of Robbinsville, N.C., passed away on Wednesday, May 11, 2022, surrounded by her children at her home.

A native of Graham County, she was the daughter of the late Frank Edmond and Lula Matheson Anderson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Cornelius Hall, Sr.; sons, James W. Hall, Sr. and Cornelius Hall, Jr.; sisters, Ionia Elsenboss, and infant Louise Anderson; and brothers, David Howard Anderson, Wade Hamilton Anderson and Andy “Jewell” Anderson.

She is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, David and Debra Hall and Jeffrey Scott Hall, all of Robbinsville, N.C.; daughters and son-in law, Rosetta Hamilton of Robbinsville, N.C., Velda Moses of Bessemer City, N.C., and Margaret and Phillip Wholters of Robbinsville, N.C.; daughter-in-law, Nelly Hall of Robbinsville, N.C.; 14 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would also like to give a special thank you to the caregivers of Good Shepherd Hospice and the staff at Sawyers Home Care for the love, care and support given to Anna Mae and her family during this difficult time.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 14, 2022, at the Townson-Smith Funeral Home Chapel.

The Revs. Daniel Stewart and Rance Shuler officiated.

Burial followed the service at the Old Mother Church Cemetery.

The family received friends from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Saturday at the chapel, prior to the service.

Townson-Smith Funeral Home was honored to serve the Hall family.
