Jane Ann Singleton, 90 of the Forest Lakes community in Robbinsville, N.C., passed away peacefully at home with family.

She was preceded in death by her husband of almost 60 years, William C. Singleton.

A native of New Jersey, she had lived in the Robbinsville area for more than 25 years. She was the daughter of Christopher and Anna Egan Kaiser.

Mrs. Singleton was a nurse and nurse educator in New Jersey, having retired after more than 30 years of service.

In her retirement years, she enjoyed traveling with her husband across this country, playing bridge with her friends, celebrating many family reunions with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and loved spending time on Lake Santeetlah.

She is survived by her loving children: son, Michael Singleton of Vermont; daughters, Patricia Singleton of Robbinsville, Mary E. (Max) Sunder of New Jersey, Christine (David) Wilson of New Jersey, Janet (Joe) Washington of New Jersey, Linda (Markley) Bartholomew of New York and Sandra (Ken) Lord of Maryland.

She has 21 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, Sept. 30, 2022, beginning with a vigil at 1 p.m. and funeral mass at 2 p.m., at Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Robbinsville.

Father Peter Shaw will officiate.

Burial will follow at Old Mother Cemetery.
