Tallulah – A local locksmith is breathing a sigh of relief, after charges against him were dropped following his Aug. 19 arrest.
Ray Richard Shuler, 73, was booked into the Graham County Jail on a single misdemeanor count of breaking and entering after he allegedly broke into a property on Tallulah Road. However, the district attorney agreed to drop all charges in the case. Shuler’s charges were dismissed Sept. 7.
According to the arrest warrant, officers were dispatched to 796 Tallulah Road on the evening of Aug. 19 in regards to Shuler allegedly breaking and entering into a building owned by Atlanta resident Thomas Robin Green. He is a former sheriff’s deputy and also served on Robbinsville’s police force when it was in existence.
