Stecoah – An attempted traffic stop last week led to officers pursuing a motorcycle through a construction zone.
Lucas Hunter Orr, 27, of a Lower Mountain Creek Road address, was charged with felony flee/elude arrest with a motor vehicle after an attempt to pull Orr over for an improperly placed tag proved unsuccessful.
He took off on his motorcycle, before turning off U.S. 129 onto N.C. 143. The chase went through the Corridor K construction zone – roughly 12 miles – before Orr finally acquiesced and pulled over on N.C. 28.
Orr was given a $1,000 secured bond and will appear in Graham County District Court on Friday, April 26.
