Lake Santeetlah – The newest faces of the Town of Lake Santeetlah council held a special-called meeting Monday.
“This council will be working together,” said Diana Simon, who was appointed the town’s mayor in a unanimous vote by the council.
Simon, Ralph Strunk, Kevin Haag and Keith Predmore were present. Jim Hager was the only council member not present.
The new council was very agreeable while nominating and voting members for roles in the council. All nominations passed with four votes.
In addition to Simon being named mayor, Haag was appointed as mayor pro temp.
Hager was voted in as finance officer, while Strunk was assigned to be the assistant finance officer. Predmore was elected as contract administrator.
And with a new council comes a new schedule. Meetings are now set for every second Tuesday of the month, at noon.
