Robbinsville – A Graham County man was arrested on May 26 after allegedly assaulting his daughter.
James Matthew Wilson, 38, was arrested after a May 24 incident where he allegedly yanked his daughter – who is under the age of 16 – inside a house from the outside, pulling her hair and causing a severe headache.
For this, he was charged with misdemeanor child abuse.
He was also charged with assault on a female after allegedly hitting another woman with the back of his hand in the same May 24 incident.
Wilson was released from Graham County Jail after paying a $2,500 bond.
He appeared in court Monday, with his case being continued to July.
