Robbinsville – Superior Court took place in Graham County in late February and early March, with 23 indictments being handed down, some for crimes going back as far as 2019:
* Robert Michael Phillips, 33 of Robbinsville, was indicted three times for separate incidents, including possession of a firearm by a felon for an incident on Aug. 13, 2019, when he was found to be in possession of a black and tan Smith & Wesson 9 mm. Phillips had previously been convicted of felony child abuse on Dec. 3, 2008. Phillips was also indicted for resisting a public officer and possession of methamphetamine from a Jan. 20 incident where he ran from Graham County Sheriff’s Office Detective Andrew Bennett, who was attempting to serve him an arrest warrant. Phillips’ third indictment was for selling methamphetamine to an unknown buyer within 1,000 feet of Chekelelee Child Development Center on the Rodney Orr Bypass, and for possession of methamphetamine with the intent manufacture, sell or distribute. The offenses took place on Aug. 22, 2020.
* Alex Kane Dutcher, 20 of Robbinsville, was indicted for felony assault on an individual with a disability, assault on a female and injury to personal property, after an incident in which he assaulted his grandmother by grabbing and twisting her left wrist, and pushing her against the wall in a means to cause injury. He also broke the windshield and damaged the driver’s side door of her vehicle, causing more than $200 in damage. The incident occurred on Nov. 16, 2020.
* David Scott Odom, 51 of Canton, was indicted for fleeing to avoid arrest with motor vehicle and resisting a public officer after a Nov. 16, 2020 chase that began with Odom blowing through a checkpoint on Tallulah Road while riding his motorcycle, and leading officers on a chase. He also resisted arrest from Deputy Westley Farley by not following his commands.
* Jesse James Pratt, 30 of Murphy, was indicted for identity theft after allegedly stealing a Bank of America Visa debit card and attempting to use it at the United Community Bank ATM in Robbinsville on Oct. 23, 2020.
* Todd Dooley, 49, of Robbinsville was indicted for felony assault on an individual with a disability, assault causing serious bodily and contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile, after hitting a victim multiple times and causing serious injury to their ribs and back area. The incident took place on July 25, 2020.
* Shanda Buchanan Dooley, 41 of Robbinsville, was indicted on the counts of breaking and entering a motor vehicle, misdemeanor larceny and contributing to the delinquency of a minor in the same July 25, 2020 incident as Todd Dooley. During the incident, she broke into a black pickup truck owned by the same victim with the intent to commit larceny and stole the keys to the truck.
* Michael Todd Williams, 46 of Robbinsville, was indicted for assault with a deadly weapon, causing serious injury after striking a woman with a glass jar on Oct. 24, 2020. He was also indicted for assault on a female and common law robbery, after punching a woman in the head and nose and stealing approximately $100 from her on Dec. 31, 2020.
* David Calvin Keever, 48 of Robbinsvile, was indicted for the charges of carrying a concealed gun and possession of a firearm by a felon. He was found to be in possession of a loaded Taurus five-shot revolver on Jan. 24, 2021. He holds a previous felony conviction for embezzlement from Aug. 2, 1999.
* Rachel Diane Roberts, 49 of Lenoir City, Tenn., was indicted for fleeing and eluding arrest with motor vehicle by attempting to elude Graham County Sheriff’s Office Detective Matthew Cox on Tallulah Road on Sept. 30, 2020.
* Ross Jacob Crisp Jr., 60 of Robbinsville, was indicted for habitual impaired driving after three counts of driving while impaired since 2011; the most recent being on April 29, 2019 with a conviction on Jan. 6, 2020.
* Frances Blondina Gibson, 35 of Robbinsville, was indicted for breaking and entering, and felony larceny, after a Nov. 7, 2020 break-in in the 990 block of Long Branch Road, in which she stole a chainsaw, weed, eater, lifting arm and small jump box.
* Carey Jade Sellers 27 of Robbinsville, was indicted for breaking and entering and felony larceny, stemming from an Aug. 4, 2020 incident in which she broke into a building in the 710 block of Old Colvard Road, stealing a push mower, shop vac, jump box, deep fryer, mail, tools, keys and other items.
* Kenneth Nolan Millsaps, 41 of Robbinsville, was indicted for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of drug paraphernalia after being caught with a Taurus 1911, .45 caliber, after previously committing the felony of possession with intent to manufacture, sell and/or deliver a schedule VI controlled substance on Jan. 20, 1998. He was also caught with a glass-smoking device. The incident took place on Jan. 21, 2021.
* Michael Noah Moore, 28 of Robbinsville, was indicted for possession of stolen goods after he was found to be in possession of a Husqvarna riding lawn mower that was found to have been stolen, valued at $1,500. The incident took place on Sept. 5, 2020.
* Joshua David Garrison, 33 of Robbinsville, was indicted on the charges of possession with intent to distribute a schedule II subject, possession with intent to distribute marijuana and possession of a firearm by a felon on Jan. 15, 2021. He was also indicted for carrying a concealed weapon for having a set of brass knuckles on his person the same day.
* Mark Wayne Carver, 47 of Robbinsville, was indicted on the charges of possession of a schedule II substance, maintaining of a vehicle, dwelling house or place for the sale of controlled substance for his 2001 Pontiac Firebird and carrying a concealed weapon – a black power revolver – stemming from Dec. 5, 2020. He was also indicted for an additional possession of a schedule II substance and maintaining of a dwelling house, a single-wide trailer in the 650 block of Berts Creek Road from June 17, 2020.
* Adrian Kyle Chekelelee, 37 of Robbinsville, was indicted on the counts of possession with intention to sell a schedule II controlled substance and possession with intent to sell marijuana from an offense committed on May 24. He also was indicted for felony possession of marijuana with the offense being committed on the same day.
* Jeffrey Patrick Brooms, 64 of Robbinsville, was indicted for possession of a schedule II controlled substance (methamphetamine) and maintaining a vehicle or dwelling house for the sale of illegal substances, in this case a maroon 1992 Chevrolet 1500, with the offense being committed on Dec. 5, 2020. He also was indicted for the same charges from an incident taking place on Sept. 30, 2020 – although in this case, the vehicle was a red Chevrolet pickup truck.
* Eugene West Bartlett, 25 of Robbinsville, was indicted for driving with a revoked licenses and possession of heroin, with the offense taking place on Dec. 9, 2020.
* Charles Jordan Cucumber, 38 of Bryson City, was indicted for possession of methamphetamine, with the offense taking place Dec. 10, 2020.
* Carla Suzanne Moore, 41 of Robbinsville, was indicted for possession of a schedule II substance (methamphetamine) from an offense committed on Dec. 5, 2020.
* Dalton Varnel Anderson, 31 of Robbinsville, was indicted for possession of methamphetamine from a Sept. 1, 2020 offense.
* Ray Keith Elliott, 46 of Robbinsville, was indicted for possession of methamphetamine from a June 10, 2020 offense.
