Robbinsville – A component of one of Robbinsville’s water plants will be replaced, following approval from the board of aldermen.
The board approved the purchase of a new altimeter valve for the plant by a 2-0 vote at a brief, special-called meeting on Sept. 16. The $13,700 part will be ordered from AUMA Actuator and will replace a component that’s approximately 40 years old.
“That was the only thing it was called for,” said town of Robbinsville Finance Director Sonya Webster. “It had just been giving us so much trouble we needed to replace it.”
The purchase was approved 2-0, with aldermen Debbie Beasley and Shaun Adams both voting in favor. Alderman Brian “Taco” Johnson was unable to attend the meeting.
