Businesses finding new way to help customers
COVID-19 has locked down countries, cities and schools, quarantined individuals, and caused world economies to plummet.
While some businesses have shut their doors due to the pandemic, many are considered essential. Supermarkets, gas stations, restaurants, insurance agencies and health departments are just a few of the many businesses considered essential by the North Carolina state government.
Graham County businesses are taking every precaution to keep their customers and employees safe, while also continuing to provide their services.
Many Graham restaurants are providing curbside services. Some, such as Cafe De Olla – also known by some locals as “The Italian Restaurant” – and Lynn’s Place are both going above and beyond, providing delivery to patrons within a certain distance.
Other businesses such as insurance agencies, banks and credit unions are providing drive-thru and phone service only. Lobbies are closed to customers as to limit contact between customers and employees.
Tallulah Health Center is also being affected by the virus. At the door, one must have their temperature taken to enter the building. If anyone attempting to enter the building has a high fever, one must return to their vehicle, where staff will do everything possible to serve you.
All precautions are being taken to keep people safe, while also providing necessary health care.
