Tuskeegee – A Yellow Creek man was arrested June 14 and charged with a litany of offenses, including second-degree kidnapping.
Graham County authorities say Kenny Joe Gladden, 55, allegedly broke into a residence in the Tuskeegee community and held the woman resident inside against her will for an extended period of time with a knife. A third party was able to phone law enforcement about the situation and upon arrival, Gladden fled on foot. Once authorities caught up with Gladden, they said a scuffle took place.
Gladden has been charged with assault with a deadly weapon, with intent to kill; second-degree kidnapping; maintaining a place with a controlled substance; possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver methamphetamine; possession of drug paraphernalia; and assault of a government official/employee. He was released June 17 on a $60,000 bond and is set to appear in Graham County Court on Tuesday.
