Robbinsville – A local man was arrested Saturday, after an alleged assault incident involving a woman. 

Court documents show that 28-year-old Michael Noah Moore allegedly shoved the victim to the ground and held her throat in a manner that restricted her ability to breathe. 

He also allegedly made oral threats to the victim during the incident. 

Moore was charged with the felony charge of assault by strangulation, as well as the misdemeanors of assault on a female and communicating threats. 

He remains in jail on a $15,000 bond and a court date has yet to be listed.

Moore has been arrested in Graham County on at least two prior occasions, being picked up on Oct. 28 for failure to appear on a felony warrant and on Nov. 8, for possession of a firearm by a felon and violation of domestic protection order.
