Robbinsville – Voters wishing to cast their ballots early this fall will be visiting a new location.

During the workshop that preceded Tuesday’s Graham County Board of Commissioners meeting, election board chairman Juanita Colvard explained the idea of moving the early-voting process to the Graham County Community Building, something the board was in full favor of.

Colvard said the election board deemed the move necessary, as the election office is simply too small to accommodate both COVID-19 protocols and the expected influx of voters wishing to make their voices heard.

The locks to the community room will be changed before early-voting begins. One-stop will occur from Oct. 15-31.

Monday-Friday, the polls will be open 8 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.; the first two Saturday’s will be open from 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. and the final Saturday will be open from 8 a.m. – 3 p.m.
