Robbinsville – The Town of Robbinsville continued its Oct. 2 meeting on Wednesday, Oct. 23.
* The board passed a DOT assistance request for $14,795. The request was in regard to the Five Points Intersection repair, as well as patching pavement on Rodney Orr Bypass at El Pacifico restaurant.
* The board also passed a motion to pursue certification for five town employees in Back Flow Cross Connection ORC, in order to avoid being fined by the state.
* Members voted to pass a motion to donate $250 to Graham County Schools to pay for five mirrors in the new women’s bathroom at the football stadium.
* Quotes from ADP and Heartland to assist with internal control in payroll services were presented by the finance director. Both companies were recommended by the NC Treasurer. The board will review the quotes.
