Robbinsville – A local teenager has been arrested twice within 11 days, according to reports from the Graham County Sheriff’s Office.

According to the first arrest warrant, while acting as caretaker for his grandmother, 19-year-old Alex Kane Dutcher allegedly grabbed and twisted her left wrist, and pushed her against the wall, causing her to hit her head. This offense occurred on Monday, Nov. 16

For this offense, Dutcher was arrested for abuse of an elder with injury and assault on a female.

Graham County Sheriff’s Office Lt. Michael Collins said he did not know what led to the violence. However he said Dutcher had been arrested for a similar incident approximately two weeks ago. He also said Dutcher’s grandmother did not require hospitalization for her injuries.

The third charge stemming from the incident was misdemeanor injury to property, with Dutcher allegedly breaking the windshield and peeling the driver’s door skin of his grandmother’s car back, causing damages greater than $200. Collins said the damage was allegedly done using rocks and other items in the vicinity.

Dutcher was released from the Graham County Detention Center on a $5,500 bond, and is scheduled to go before the magistrate at 8:30 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 18.

Update: Dutcher was arrested a second time on Friday, Nov. 27 for the charge of second-degree trespassing. Dutcher remains in jail on a $1,500 bond as of Monday.
