Snowbird – A Cherokee County resident remains behind bars in Graham County, after allegedly being caught with methamphetamine and marijuana.
On Sunday, Graham County deputies conducted a license checking station in the area of Massey Branch and Tapoco roads. When the vehicle of 26-year-old Louise Antoinette Coleman was checked, she was found to be in violation of chapter 20 motor vehicle laws. Eastern Band Of Cherokee Indians Police officers notes the smell of marijuana emanating from her vehicle. The following search uncovered 10 grams of marijuana and 40 grams of meth.
After her arrest, she was charged with trafficking methamphetamine, and is currently being held in Graham County Jail on a $75,000 bond.
According to previous reporting by The Graham Star, Coleman had previously been arrested on meth charges on April 27, along with 42-year-old Lawrence Heath Knighton. In the April incident, she was charged with possession with intent to manufacture, sell, deliver methamphetamine and trafficking methamphetamine.
Other arrests
On Sept. 7, Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians Tribal Police assets the Graham County Sheriff’s Office in an incident in Topton, where two suspicious individuals were found walking along the road.
When officers arrived, one individual fled into the woods. Georgia native Fumiko Brook Snow was found to be in possession of methamphetimine and arrested.
Another arrest occurred on Aug. 18, when Graham County Sheriff’s deputies served a search warrant at the residence of 44-year-old Brian Keith Hardin in Robbinsville. Hardin was found at the residence, along with other known drug users.
He was found to be in possession of 27 grams of methamphetamine, and arrested and charged with possession with the intent to distribute a schedule II controlled substance
