Jeremy DeMoranville
More details have emerged in an alleged kidnapping incident that led to the arrests of both alleged perpetrators, as well as the alleged victim.
Graham County Sheriff Jerry Crisp said that on Sept. 16, 34-year-old Mohammad Hassan Kheradmand of St. Petersburg, Fla. and 31-year old Michael Bazarov of Washington D.C. allegedly held 28-year-old Jeremy Dillan DeMoranville of Fairhaven, Mass. hostage over a financial dispute.
“They’d had a disagreement – I think over some monies – and they held him and wouldn’t allow him to leave, pretty much holding him hostage until he could come up with some money,” Crisp said.
Crisp said that when deputies arrived on scene, DeMoranville was allegedly found to be in possession of a THC isolate. He then told deputies of drugs in the possession of Bazarov and Kheradmand.
Bazarov was then allegedly found to be in possession of cocaine.
“Officers were able to respond and retrieve him, and during the investigation they discovered that he had drugs also, and then he told on them for their drugs,” Crisp said.
Crisp added that the three men had come to Graham County to ride motorcycles prior to their altercation and resulting legal troubles.
Kheradmand and Bazarov were both charged with second-degree kidnapping, with Bazarov also being charged with felony possession of cocaine. DeMoranville has been charged with felony possession of a schedule IV substance.
All three men have bonded out of jail and are due in court Monday.
