Jeremy DeMoranville
Robbinsville – One of three men involved in a September kidnapping and drug arrest saw his case continued in Graham County District Court on Monday.
Jeremy DeMoranville, 28 – who was arrested on Sept. 16 for felony possession of a schedule VI substance, after allegedly being caught in possession of THC isolate – will return to court on Feb.7, 2022.
Listed as a resident of Fairhaven, Mass. in court documents – but said he was currently living in Atlanta – DeMoranville was also assigned a new attorney, after claiming that he could not reach his original court appointed counsel Sean Johnson, despite calling him several times.
District Court Judge Kristina Earwood assigned attorney Andy Kite to DeMoranville’s case.
DeMoranville was allegedly held hostage by Michael Bazarov and Mohammed Hassan Kheradmand in a financial dispute while the three were in the area riding motorcycles. When deputies arrived and allegedly found DeMoranville’s drugs, he allegedly told them that Bazarov and Kheradmand also had drugs.
Deputies then allegedly found cocaine belonging to Bazarov, charging him with felony possession of cocaine, as well as second-degree kidnapping. Kheradmand was also arrested for second-degree kidnapping.
Both Bazarov and Kheradmand were listed on Monday’s docket, but neither appeared in court.
