Robbinsville – As Robbinsville Middle School’s basketball program enter the final week of the regular season, both teams are in a prime position for a top seed in the championship tournament.
Cullowhee Valley visited Robbinsville for the first action of 2020 on Monday, with the Lady Knights (10-1) defeating the Lady Rebels 46-30 and the Black Knights (9-2) taking care of business, 54-22.
In the girls game, Zoie Shuler led the offense with 13 points. Also scoring was Karlee Stewart 10, Claire Barlow 7, Jozlyn Garland 6, Liz Carpenter 6 and Aubrie Wachacha 4.
For the boys, both Xander Wachacha and Donovan Carpenter posted a team-high 11 points.
Others to join the crowded scoreline were Zeke Silvers 8, Bryce Adams 7, Dane Knott 6, Luke Lovin 4, Roman Jones 2, Hugh Forbes 2, Austin Collangelo 2 and Tytan Teesateskie 1.
