Robbinsville – Entering Christmas break, the Robbinsville Middle School basketball program is flying high.
The latest triumph for both the Lady Knights (9-1) and the Black Knights (8-2) took place Dec. 19, when Robbinsville welcomed Swain for the final action of 2019. When all was said and done, the Lady Knights won a 46-43 thriller, while the Black Knights knocked off the Devils in a 75-70 shootout.
For the boys, Xander Wachacha dropped 26 points on Swain. Also scoring was Donovan Carpenter 19, Bryce Adams 9, Roman Jones 7, Luke Lovin 6, Tytan Teesateskie 4, Dane Knott 3 and Zeke Silvers 1.
In the girls game, Zoie Shuler went off in a 23-point performance. Other Lady Knights to score were Aubrie Wachacha 11, Claire Barlow 6, Liz Carpenter 4 and Noelle Orr 2.
