Robbinsville – For the first time this season, the Black Knights strung together back-to-back wins.

A big conference victory over Rosman (2-18, 1-10) on Tuesday, Feb. 4 was followed just one day later by a 56-43 win against Hiwassee Dam (7-13), which avenged a 9-point road loss to the Eagles just five days prior.

The Knights led 13-6 at the end of the first quarter, but Hiwassee Dam had surged back to tie things at 25-all by halftime. But Robbinsville doubled the Eagles’ point total in the third and never looked back, picking up their third win of the year.

Robbinsville fell behind 11-4 early in the first quarter of Monday’s contest against Murphy (9-12, 4-7) and was unable to catch back-up over the course of the affair, dropping the game 57-47.

Hall dropped a team-high 17 points on the Bulldogs. Also scoring was Adams 7, Collins 4, Carpenter 3, Capps 3, Lawson 3, Brooks 3, Keener 3, Carson Eller 2 and Bryce Teesateskie 2.

The Knights found themselves down late against Nantahala (9-13) on Tuesday. Hall launched a trey that bounced off the rim with 10 seconds left in the game and the Hawks claimed a 59-55 victory.

Lawson’s 14 points led Robbinsville in the loss. Also scoring was Hall 12, Adams 7, Eller 7, Capps 5, Wright 4, Collins 2, Kenner 2 and Brooks 2.
