Robbinsville clinches share of JV conference title
Rosman – For the first time since 2013, Robbinsville sits atop the Smoky Mountain Conference junior varsity football standings.
The Black Knights (5-1) finished the year by disposing of the Rosman Tigers in a 54-0 road triumph on April 8, securing a share of the division crown with Murphy.
“I thought this game really defined who we were this season,” Knights head coach Wren Millsaps said. “Over the course of 40 minutes, our defense did what they did all season and put on a show.”
Millsaps also handed out year-end awards to the team at the conclusion of the victory:
• Most Improved: Justin Jones and John Dominguez-Romero.
• Top Skill: Zeke Silvers and Cooper Adams.
• Top Lineman: Koleson Dooley.
• Coaches Award: Christian Phillips and Paxton Waters.
• Most Valuable Player: Alexis Panama.
