Janie Darlene Gibson, 56 of Robbinsville, N.C., passed away Thursday, Nov. 11, 2021, at Frye Regional Medical Center in Hickory, N.C.
She was a native of Graham County and the daughter of John Gibson of Hartwell, Ga., and the late Francis Luenia Gibson. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her sister, Sonja Key.
She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Tasha and Brian Williams, and Francis Gibson, all of Robbinsville, N.C.; and sisters, Brenda Felton of Bryson City, N.C. and Becky Crisp of Robbinsville, N.C. She is also survived by her five grandchildren: Katelyn Darlene Jones, James Creed Jones, Jesse Williams, Phoebe Williams and Harley Williams.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 15, 2021, at the Townson-Smith Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Harold Beasley officiated. Burial followed the service at the Old Mother Cemetery. The family received friends from 1-2 p.m. at the chapel, prior to the services.
