Quinn Jumper
The 2025 All-Smoky Mountain Conference team was recently unveiled.
Three Robbinsville Black Knights were on the roster: senior Quinn Jumper and junior Luke Lovin were named to the All-Conference line-up, while freshman Easton Shuler received an Honorable Mention.
A utility player in every sense of the word, Jumper capped his career at Robbinsville with a team-best .411 average at the plate. He hit a grand slam against Rosman on March 10 and finished with 16 RBIs on the campaign – good for second on the club.
Jumper also led the Knights in stolen bases, swiping 15 bags across the season.
Throughout his career, Jumper was a pitcher, catcher and infielder for the Black Knights.
His career average rounds out at .325, with two home runs, 38 RBIs and 29 stolen bases.
Jumper was also selected to participate in the 4th Annual Atlanta Braves Native American All-Star Baseball Showcase, which will be held June 19-22 at Truist Park.
Plagued by a nagging collarbone injury his sophomore season, Lovin returned full-time in 2025. He batted .268, with two triples, four doubles and 10 RBIs, while stealing 13 bases.
On the mound, Lovin started each divisional series and went 2-1 overall with a 5.44 ERA. He also struck out 38 batters.
Shuler broke out in his debut at the varsity level, smashing three homers to lead the Black Knights. He finished the year with a .352 mark at the plate, which also included six doubles and 18 RBIs. Shuler also stole 10 bases and was summoned for pitching duties on eight occasions – striking out 12 hitters.
Robbinsville went 6-15 this year, finishing 5-7 in the Smoky Mountain Conference to wrap up fourth place in the league race.
