Robbinsville – Just before turkey day, the Black Knights stayed busy.
Robbinsville (2-0) hosted the T.C. Roberson Rams for a Nov. 23 dual before loading up and traveling to Enka on Nov. 24 for the Jet Invitational.
The Knights dominated the Rams throughout the week’s lone match, toppling the visitors 75-6.
Only one bout – the 152-pound contest between Robbinsville’s Willie Riddle and T.C. Roberson’s Boston Duvall – went into a third period. Riddle won the bout by majority decision, 12-2.
Alexis Panama (120 pounds) had a 16-1 technical fall over Arden Gittings. Scoring pins for the Knights was Koleson Dooley (285), Aynsley Fink (106), Mason Phillips (113), Ethan Webster (126), Avery Phillips (132), Jayden Nowell (138), Zane Lucksavage (145), Jacob Hall (170), Kyle Fink (182) and Ben Wachacha (220).
Kage Williams (195) had his hand raised by forfeit, in the dual’s only conceded bout.
Jet Invitational
Candler – Eight different Robbinsville grapplers made the trek to the Enka Jet Invitational.
Nowell went 4-0 in the 132-pound class, pinning Fred T. Foard’s Hunter Clark in the finals. Aynsley Fink and Kyle Fink finished second in their respective weight classes, while Lucksavage took third in the 138-pound bracket.
