Robbinsville put the memory of its first conference loss in the rearview mirror Tuesday, knocking off Rosman (1-12, 0-5) at home 66-33.
The victory improved the Black Knights to 10-3 (3-1 in divisional play), which solidifies Robbinsville's fifth-straight 10-win season.
Individual scorers from the trouncing were not received by The Graham Star's Wednesday press deadline.
The success allowed the Knights to distance themselves from the unpleasant events of Friday: an 82-70 road loss to Cherokee (12-4, 4-1).
Robbinsville was unable to get into its typical first-quarter, offensive groove. A spirited Braves line-up gladly took advantage, heating up outside and hitting four trey's in the opening stanza alone – finishing the first half with seven total.
Cherokee led 26-18 at the end of the first period and continued to build its advantage from there, even opening a 70-50 spread by the outset of the fourth. To their credit, the Black Knights did not give up – attempting a rally that cut the deficit to 11, before the Braves went on a quick 5-0 run to fully dampen the comeback effort.
Nathan Frederick paced Robbinsville with 19 points, three rebounds and two steals. Dane Knott recorded 17 points, three rebounds, two steals and an assist, while Luke Lovin added 11 points, three rebounds, one assist and one steal.
Other Black Knights to score were Xamuel Wachacha 7; Kristian Bauzo and Luis Rosado, 6 each; and Dane Daniels 4.
Mack Burgess put up a Braves-leading 16 points in the game.
Knott seized the reins in Jan. 14's trip to Summit Charter, connecting for 29 points in Robbinsville's 69-39 swatting of the Bears. He hit six from beyond the arc to aid the effort.
Also scoring for the Knights was Frederick 9; Elijah Kirkland and Wachacha, 7 each; Eli Lambert 5; Kyzik Teesateskie 4; Kristian Bauzo and Bam Nelms, 3 apiece; and Lovin 2.
Chance Wilson put up 20 points for Summit Charter (4-9).
Junior varsity
Robbinsville pulled away from a nailibiting first half of Friday's junior varsity boys game by outscoring Cherokee 24-7 in the third, which culminated in a 64-39 win for the Black Knights.
Cameron Allison and Lambert both racked up 17 points for Robbinsville. Allison mixed in two rebounds, an assist and a steal, while Lambert added four steals, three rebounds and an assist.
Others to score were Nelms 14; Landon Eddings and Kirkland, 7 each; and Easton Shuler.
