Cherokee – Despite being left out of the playoffs this season, the Black Knights had plenty to hang their hats on after May 1's season finale.
Robbinsville (6-15, 5-7) traveled to Cherokee (2-12, 1-11) and made quick work of the hosts, delivering a five-inning, 10-0 defeat to wrap up the 2025 campaign.
Easton Shuler pieced together a multi-hit game to collect three RBIs, while Quinn Jumper also recorded a pair of hits in the victory. Peyton Brooks also had a two-run single for the Knights.
On the mound, Rylen Orr (3-4) went the distance and struck out five Braves.
First-year head coach Adam Brooks took away a lot of positives from the season.
"I enjoyed my first season as varsity coach," Brooks said. "We had a great group of boys. We had a really good group of seniors that I really enjoyed and will miss, but wish nothing but the best for."
The Knights will say farewell to five seniors: Bryce Adams, Quinn Jumper, Tytan Teesateskie, Avery Webster and Dayne Webster.
"In the offseason, I expect the returning players to be putting in a lot of work," coach Brooks added. "I look forward to seeing them grow."
