Robbinsville – Stymied by eight errors, the Black Knights were unable to get on a roll Tuesday.
Robbinsville (1-3, 0-2) coughed up the ball eight times in the 15-2 home loss to Murphy (4-2, 2-1), in a game where the Knights held an early advantage.
Murphy starter Cole Laney was lifted after just ⅔ of an inning, which featured five walks and saw Robbinsville’s Greylon Orr and Christian Phillips score on back-to-back free passes. The Bulldogs pulled back ahead 5-2 in the top of the second and methodically built on their lead from there. Alex Knight and Bryc Garrison had Robbinsville’s only two hits in the game.
