Black Knights manhandle Wildcats
Robbinsville – Complete domination.
That's the only way to properly summarize Friday's homecoming game between Andrews and Robbinsville, which saw the Black Knights limit the visitors to one first down – albeit on a penalty – and a total of 13 offensive yards.
In turn, Robbinsville dictated a running clock by amassing 42 points in the first half of action.
The Knights also compiled 380 yards on the ground in a 56-0 squash of the Wildcats on Bob Colvin Field.
The drubbing began with a seven-yard touchdown pass from Luke Lovin to Cameron Allison. Allison picked off Andrews' (0-6, 0-2) Logan Shuler on the fourth play of the ensuing drive and returned the catch 40 yards to double the advantage, while Kyzik Teesateskie's sole carry of the ball game later resulted in a 14-yard touchdown with 1:34 left in the opening segment.
Isiac Collins led Robbinsville (4-2, 2-0) with 142 rushing yards and recorded seven on a scoring rumble at the 7:46 mark of the second. Black Knights quarterback Luke Lovin got in on the frenzy by crossing the threshold on a 5-yard keeper with four minutes remaining before the break and Benton Gibby ensured the game would be played on fast forward in the second half by rushing across at the end of a 46-yard carry with 52 seconds remaining in the second.
Ryleon Waldroup later became the fifth Robbinsville back to rush into the end zone with a one-yard score in the third quarter. The final blow came when Elijah Kirkland leapt into the night air and nabbed another Shuler pass, before sprinting 35 yards with the robbery for a touchdown.
Zander Lucksavage perfectly complemented each Knights' success with an extra point, going 7-for-7 in the game.
