Robbinsville – The Knights’ varsity basketball program gave the Graham County faithful a sample of what’s to come this season.
And after Tuesday’s straight sweep of Highlands, it’s evident that both the Lady Knights and Black Knights will deliver the goods each time they hit the hardwood.
Robbinsville won the varsity girls game 59-39 and the varsity boys finale 55-43.
Desta Trammell led the Lady Knights (1-0) with 20 points against the Lady Highlanders (1-3). Also scoring was Yeika Jimenez 14, Zoie Shuler 11, Halee Anderson 9, Dallas Garrett 3 and Kensley Phillips 2.
Leading the crowded Black Knights (1-0) scoreline was Kamdyn Jordan, who dropped 21 on the Highlanders (1-3). Others to score for Robbinsville were Bryce Adams and Xander Wachacha with 11 each; Eddie Brooms 5, Bo Rattler 3, and both Brock Adams and Dasan Gross with two apiece.
