Tallulah – Much like the varsity squad, the middle school Lady Knights are firing on all cylinders.
Robbinsville (3-0) continued its hot start to the season Tuesday, besting Murphy 9-3 at P & J Field.
“I am super proud of my girls and how hard they play,” said Knights head coach Anna Stewart. “They are a great team and work hard to get it done.”
Faced with their first true adversity of the season – the Knights trailed 3-1 after the second inning – Robbinsville’s bats seamlessly came to life.
The end result was a pair of 3-for-4 afternoons at the plate for Dreylee Webster and Anna Williams. Presley Caylor and Kennedy Spencer had two hits each – while in the circle, Caylor picked up her third win of the season, striking out seven Murphy batters.
Across the complex, the Black Knights played their first game since March 10.
But unfortunately, Robbinsville (0-2) fell 17-0 to the Bulldogs.
