Rosman – After a 17-day layoff, the Knights returned to the court for the final game of the regular season.
Robbinsville Middle made the arduous journey to Rosman on Monday, but came away with a pair of sweeps over the hosting Tigers.
The Lady Knights (6-8) cruised to a 38-7 win, while the Black Knights (11-3) claimed a 60-32 triumph.
McKynlee Adams was responsible for over 60% of Robbinsville's offense in the girls game, dropping 23 on the hosts.Also scoring was Lakin Orr 8; Natalie Swimmer 3; and both Parklyn Anderson and Kamry Rogers, 2 each.
In the boys win, Carsan Snider also reached the 23-point threshold to lead the Black Knights. Others to aid the cause were Brayden Allison 12; Micah York 6; Kamden Driver 5; Mekhi Dominguez and David Guzman, 4 each; Elijah Allison and Landon Silvers, 2 apiece; and both Jaxson Blundell and Jax Mullinax, 1 each.
The Smoky Mountain Conference championship tournament is being held this year at Andrews. The action begins Saturday and continues through Thursday, Jan. 15.
Brackets for the tournament were released after The Graham Star's Wednesday press deadline.
