Bryson City – Trailing Swain County 5-3 at the dawn of the seventh Friday, Robbinsville (2-0) manufactured a four-run rally to pull ahead of the hosts and cement a season sweep over the stunned Lady Devils by picking up a 7-5 road victory.
The comeback bid was jumpstarted by a leadoff single from Makenna Stewart. Bentley Lambert drove her in during the next at-bat, while Ella Nelms later tied the game on a two-out single that scored Lambert.
Natalee Myers went on to triple and plate Nelms before Allie Phillips concluded the rally with a double that sent Myers across the plate.
Meanwhile, the Black Knights (0-2) battled the Maroon Devils tooth-and-nail before dropping their game 10-9.
Carsan Snider went the distance for Robbinsville, logging six innings on the hill and recording four strikeouts – while issuing just one walk.
At the plate, Conner Hyde and Landon Silvers both went 3-for-4.
